I created these pings to sound like a submarine's sonar using surge (synthesizer) and rayspace (reverb).

Me pinging wires on a baking mesh. Thought it was quite like a submarine.

Original description: very low key, down-tuned bass sound with long sustain and release/tail. Sounds good in higher pitches too. Came from two highly tweaked tom and click sounds in flstudio's edison.

I created this sound using lmms ( linux multimedia studio ) using various ladspa effects and layered a few zynaddsubfx synths, with some automation to tame the fall off's by automating the volume faders. Enjoy :).
